Do you have blood type O positive?

This is the most common blood type in the Netherlands. No less than 39% of all Dutch people is O positive. Because a lot of people have this blood type, we invite these donors on a regular basis to give blood.

Women are allowed to give blood a maximum of three times a year, men up to five times a year. How often you are called upon depends on the blood group that is needed at a certain time. A patient preferably receives blood from his own blood group. A patient with blood group O positive therefore preferably receives blood from an O-positive blood donor. We therefore need all blood groups.
