2. Medical check
After registration, you make an appointment for a medical check with a donation doctor.
3. Donate
If everything checks out, you are a new donor! You will receive an invitation as soon as your blood type is needed.

Good to know
- Did you know that you could use your volunteering days for donating blood?
- You can choose where to donate per donation: close to home or close to work.
- Donating blood takes around one hour (medical check, donation, drink).
- There are blood banks throughout the Netherlands. You will find the nearest blood bank here.
- Women are called upon to donate blood up to 3 and men up to 5 times a year.
- So if you donate blood 4 times per year, you can agree with your team lead to take half a day off.
