Demand for plasma with antibodies against hepatitis A has increased significantly recently. That is why we are looking for new plasma donors with this antibody. These antibodies are made if you have had an infection with the hepatitis A virus.
Have you had jaundice (hepatitis A)? Then there is a good chance you have antibodies against hepatitis A in your blood. We would like to perform an additional test to check how many of these antibodies your blood contains. If levels are high enough, you are a highly suitable donor for plasma with antibodies against hepatitis A!
Yes, I want to help!
Do you want to help and have your blood tested for antibodies, please call on 0800-5115 (free). We will ask you a number of questions and make an appointment for a next donation or screening (if you are not a donor yet), where we will perform the additional test.
Who needs these antibodies?
Plasma with antibodies against hepatitis A is used to make medicines for patients with a weak immune response to infectious diseases, for example people with leukaemia.
