
In order to promote the interests of donors as best as possible, donors are represented in Regional Donor Councils and in one National Donor Council. At a regional level donor associations can also be active. Outside of the official particpation structures there has been the 'Landelijke Vereniging van Bloed en Plasmadonoren' for some time now. This body wants to become part of the regular participation structure. The National Donorcouncil is taking this into consideration.
National Donor Council
The National Donor Council advises the Board of Directors about the donor policy. It also promotes the interests of donors on moral, ethical and physical levels. Regional Donor Councils
The Regional Donor Councils give advice and make proposals in the field of donor interests to the regional bloodbank divisions of Sanquin. Their task is at a regional level. The bloodbanks provide the councils with all information that is needed for them to carry out their task. Read more...
Donor associations
A donor association has the right to propose a number of candidate members for the regional donor council.
